Gilded Rose Kata

Thursday 20th July 7:00pm at The Manchester Digital Laboratory (MadLab)

This month at NWRUG we'll be doing the Gilded Rose kata.

In this kata, you start with a highly procedural but functioning piece of code that is used to track the changing value of a set of items as time passes. A new requirement has come in to add support for a new item type and your task is update the code to support this. Sounds simple enough, except not only is the code difficult to change, it also doesn't have any tests...

If you'd like to take part, bring a laptop with Ruby installed and a willingness to get stuck into some wild refactoring.

RSVP on Meetup

It's not compulsory, but if you'd like to show that you're attending, RSVP on our Meetup page.
